Fast Idle

[6.2L Driver]

I just picked up a 1998 6.5L Z71, I am use to my 1982 6.2 diesel, so lots of new things on this 1998 engine.

Does anyone know if there is a easy way to put a fast idle on this 1998 truck

Thanks for the help, that sounds really easy to do. My next question is well a switch with a light in it work. Just wondering if they work when the switch is breaking the gound connection instead of the positive wire.

I don't know if I'd trust a switch to not feed back into the ECM (computer) because you are hooking directly to the ECM.

I can tell you this for sure the fast idle works great I have had mine since 1999 and I love it.

I used a good On Off On switch and it works great. I covered the switch with a rubber switch cover that Napa carries. I tried a cheap switch first, but it would cut in and out at times.
