LB7 performance

I'm interested in changing to an 4 or 5 inch exhaust system to improve performance on my LB7 duramax. The stock pipe diameter is 3.5 inches. In order to get the best result, where must I tie in? At the turbo, the downpipe, or with a cat-back system?

Look at the DP Monthly articles that Jim writes. About half way down the list is an article about Magna Flow exhaust systems. It will give you some real world info about exhaust systems. Also do a DP search on the subject.
