Electric Fan Control?

Waiting for OEM electric auxilliary fan, was wondering if the old 99's ECM controls it or just have the A/C clutch activate the relay? I dont seem to think the ECM sees or monitors A/C high pressure. Probably hook up manual switch for shut off at hwy speed.
Anyone done this install? open for suggestions.

Just install a controller to run it.

The K-5 in my signature has dual electric fans. I wired a hi/lo switch on the dash. Run low almost anytime the engine is running (except during extreme cold) have yet to need hi, although it is there. On low, just one fan runs at low speed, on hi both fans run at high speed.

The K-5 is a toy, doesn't tow so it's cooling requirements aren't too bad.
