New to Duramax’s!!! Had 3 Dodge Cummins over the last 4 years. Never could afford a D Max till now. Finally got one.
I was specifically looking for a 2007 model, in order to get a non-emissions engine and a 6 speed. Have to say I am impressed. Bought the truck drove it home, and got 19 MPG, hand calculated @ 75/80 MPH.
First mod… a GN hitch..lol Wife’s gotta haul the horses!!

Nice truck and welcome to the forum.

You should have given the Allison a try. I had a 94 6.5 hand shaker and wanted a 6 speed but after towing cross country with my 06 Dmax/Allison it sure makes life easier. When you need it you can switch to manual mode.

It does.. the 6 speed Allison ;)
That's one of the reasons I'm getting rid of the Dodge, is because of the manual.
