CDR placement

Howdy
I have tried searches and allot of head scratching....I need input from smarter people!

My son has a 1986 dually with a 6.2 ATS turbo. He is doing allot of work on the truck and is currently modifying the air cleaner for a bigger duct and bigger filter.

The CDR is getting in the way and he is wondering about relocating it someplace else in the engine bay. Will this cause a problem?

ATS has a long hose that runs to the bottom of the air intake side of the turbo. The CDR is receiving from the oil fill neck.

I have seen a couple different style of CDRs. are they the same spec or are they really different?

It doesn't matter where it's mounted, as long as the plumbing is correct. You could even use the later/6.5 RH valve cover with the hole for it.
