Not drive train related. I loaned out the manuals for my 95 K1500 and am looking for assistance on decoding the wire connector at the back of my radio (cassette/CD combination). Specifically the lighting and speed sensor wires.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi Don Withlock:
I'll give you just a clue: orange=12v batery, yellow=accesory, gray=dimmer, brown=parking lights,(some times they have the brown some times not) but the gray and the brown are for the lights, depending on year of truck, you might notice that on some models they will have two brown wires; the brown for the lights is allways on the same line as orange, yellow, gray, and the other brown wich will be on the other line next to a yellow,dk blue,lt blue,dk grn,lt grn, tan, gry, wich are speaker wires , you might have a green wire as a speed sensor or a purple wire i hope this helps, some times they have the wiring code under the radio.
