I saw a program on the History Channel (I think) about those. As you can see, it says USMC on the side. The military is looking at these to minimize the types of fuel it needs to maintain.

Diesel powered bikes have been around for a very long time. I am suprised it never really caught on. Think of the massive amount of torque it would have. Would be a great trail bike. Would kinda sound like a sick 2 stroke though.

while on the subject has anyone had any experience with the polaris atv diesel's? 1999 model sportsman 500,i've been thinking about getting one for around the farm and just wondering what kinda trouble they have.

My dad has one of those polaris diesels and I've run it briefly - it did fine. I don't know if he's had any work done on it as he's in PA and I'm not. He has a hitch and pulls some big utility trailers around when needed. He likes it because now everything is on the same fuel.

thats what i'm after,i just hate the smell of gas anymore
