Welcome aboard!

Before you do ANYTHING related to attempts at bleeding, make sure you have enough fuel in the tank. It doesn't have to be full, but empty sucks (air).

The best, easiest way is to install an electric lift pump and turn it on. If you haven't done that, then:

Pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, etc. Open the bleeder screw on the filter assembly as soon as (more) resistence is felt, or 50-100 pumps or so, then continue until airless fuel is present. Once the filter is bled, close the bleeder, and pump until you can't (very hard to press). Try to start. If it starts then stalls, just pump until it's hard again (shouldn't need to open the bleeder). If it continues to stall after a few of these cycles, you have a leak, somewhere, that's letting in the air.

Or....
If you have an air compressor with a good regulator, apply low pressure air (2-5 PSI) to the fuel filler. You can either use a rag wrapped around an air nozzle, or install a tire valve stem into a (retired) filler cap. Leave the bleeder open until fuel is present, close it, then apply the previous method. This will save you a few hundred pumps.

Note:
If it has the original plastic bleeder screw, be very careful (it's plastic). Even though it has a slot, use only a nut driver or socket. Don't overtighten. It's O-ring sealed (or supposed to be), so it only needs to be snug, slightly more than finger-tight.
