I am looking at buying a 2010 GMC SLT HD2500 c/c with 106000km on it. Are there any issues with this engine? I have a 2002 Chev Duramax/Allison that I put injectors in at 170,000 km, a transmission in at 200,000km then a complete GM rebuilt 6.6 last year at 270,000 km. I am hoping the 2010 will be a better truck.
Do the 2010 LMM's have the same injector issues as my 2002 had?
I use the truck for work in forestry and carry a 500 litre ( 120 gallon ) fuel tank as well as tools, etc and then pull a 32ft to various work locations.
Thanks

Well what can I say. The truck has my plates on it now. ::D I hope it turns out to be a good one and doesnt need injectors every 120000km.
Having said that, I always really liked my 2002, it worked very hard all the time on steep mountain logging roads with loads on it. I attribute some of the problems that I had with it to the Predator tuner. I regret ever using it and wont modify my 2010 in any way.

The LMM's do not have the frequent injector woes like the LB7 did, but they still could use some added protection. The LBZ/LMM all seem to eventually end up with the P0087 issue with miles varying depending on use and fuel quality.
