I'm reaching out for any insight TDP members can provide to help me select the correct crossover pipe kit for my sidewinder install. I thought all early truck crossovers were the same, but nope, there's differences.

I ordered the Sidewinder kit 21002 for early 6.2 trucks for my Jeep swap. I was surprised to find I didn't receive the crossover pipes. Banks Customer Service told me that since I bought the non-vehicle specific kit they leave out the crossovers (found out 3-4 years after I bought it!). There aren't any good images of these kits to tell which one I need.

The kit 21002 is for the early trucks, 82-91. They have kits for:

2 door 2WD LD # 21051 (out of stock)
2 door 4WD HD # 21053
2/4 door 2WD HD # 21050
2/4 door 4WD HD # 21052

I'm starting with a HD 599 block out of StepVan.

I don't have a crossmember to deal with like the one pictured here:

I'm using a stock LH side manifold, looks like this:

It'll connect to the included new RH side manifold pictured here (lower one):

I guess I'm looking for the crossover that hugs the block close along the side and front.

Thoughts?

I don't think it's made anymore....

The ones I have seen lately the owners have fabbed what they needed or had someone else make it...

We replaced the crossover on my sons truck last year. We ended up having a shop make one that was close and had it in two pieces with a slider in the middle and used a band clamp.

That looks like the one on mine...

You can still get a few different replacement items...like the cossover (two of them anyway) the Lower radiator hose...air filters

For the turbo back...you are on your own...

Banks said they had 3 of the 4 options are in stock. But if all options hang low and away, I might hold off and have a tighter fitting one built when the exhaust is done at Stan's Headers.

So do both early and late trucks have a crossmember the crossover has to stay below/outboard of?

If weather permits, I can measure how far down it drops on mine from the manifold so you have something more concrete to work from. Maybe get a picture too tonight after work.
