My Dad used truck today , was about 50 miles from home and
it sprung a leak at the fuel filter , He had AAA tow it home , thought it
would come back on a flat bed but arrived towed with the front end on the ground , was left in park and was in two wheel drive
So the question is ... after I replace the fuel leak is the tow on the front end going to cause a problem ?

Should not do anything to it.

The front end automatically unlocks when the ign is off anyway even if it was in 4x4

Things should be just fine.

Agree, nothing to worry about. Better they tow front wheels down than risk destroying the tranny.

Just a note:
This applies to early models only (vacuum or thermal actuators). Later models with stepper motor actuators do not unlock with power off.
