Hard starting

I have noticed when I let the glow plug light go off and wait a minute or two to start it seems a little harder to turn over. Is this normal?

Yes this is pretty much normal. You will really see it the first time you start it that day or it has been setting for several hours. You need to turn it over as soon as the light goes out for best results.
