the 4.5 diesel

While Browsing about future diesel pickup trucks for 2018 ,i found information on GM supplying the 4.5 V8 diesel for the Nissan full size Passenger Vans in late 2017 . Has anyone read this type of information ? All this time, i have been waiting and Hopping to see or read about the 4.5 being offered in Chevy Silverado 1500 / GMC Sierra 1500 ! If anyone has any information ,please post it . Thanks !

Read this a couple of years ago but have heard nothing since. Rumours of the 4.5 rising out of the ashes have been a topic of speculation since GM canned it in 2010.

Yeah, I’m guessing since that article is nearly three years old and nothing has happened since that it is a long, long, long shot.

It has been announced, that the Ford F 150 ,Will have a 3.0 diesel option in 2018 ! Now that Ram and Ford half ton pickups ,will have diesel power , I just wonder why GM has not announced anything about a diesel for Chevy Silverado 1500 and The GMC Sierra 1500 . :confused:
