Thats one of the better GM blocks.It could still have cracks.
If you are going to buy it,ask if you can pull the pan and check for cracks.

Valley drain tubes were used on engines that had a manual transmission behind them.

This kept any fuel/ oil leaks off the clutch assembly and drained it out to the ground.

The 599 block was used in the 92-95 vintage rigs
Uses the large main bolts on inner and outer locations.
A non cylinder squirt block.

Considered to be the best block made for the 6.5

As mentioned, it can crack in the main webs, but was less likely to have issues as compared to the 506 blocks.
