Hi, my name is Roger and I live in The Netherlands.
I've recently bought a cheap '92 Chevy K2500 with a 6.2 diesel and my search for information brought me to this website.
This is how it looked when I just bought it:

When I bought it the truck looked quite a bit rough, but I'm slowly improving it little by little.
The steering had so much play I didn't even try to drive it home like that, I dropped it off at a near garage and let them replace the steer pump and the rag joint. This made the car drive the car quite a bit better but there was still a lot of play in the steering wheel.
The block of wood the PO screwed to the door to mount his 'doorhandle' has since been removed

The bed has been coated with herculiner and I have spray painted the faded grill to give it the SS-look, I could've done a better job on the bowtie though(added red nail polish to the edges just to see how it would look) so I'll order a original one in time I think.

My truck also came with a heightened roof, it really is just a fake roof glued on top of the original one. I think they did this to comply with tax regulations at that time ('commercially used vehicles could qualify for lower road tax if they met certain requirements like length,cab height etc.)
I have recently torn it off (together with some paint on my original roof) to make my truck look a little better.

I also had quite the adventure with my lower control arm, I think I'm quite lucky I didn't kill myself or others because did drive 70mph on the highway for half an hour wondering why my steering acted 'a little funny' all of a sudden.

Recently I replaced all ball joints and fitted new monroe shocks, and I must say this greatly improved the driving experience. Only a small amount of play in the steering remains but I think thats supposed to be like that?
Further plans for this baby are to paint it matt black, and replace the manifold for a open plane type.
I don't want really want to spend a lot of money on this car because we are hoping to be able to emigrate to the USA in a few years and this car won't be coming with us.
