I have tried to find the leak, it's hard to tell but it is not the hoses. It looks like the bottom of the fuel filter canister! Could this be, anyone seen it before

I had a diesel leak problem at the filter base once after changing a fuel filter. It turned out that I had left the rubber seal from the old filter in the filter base. I don't all the paticulers about how this happened, but I do remember it took me a while to figure out what had happened. Good luck!

its common, the fuel filter housing has several rubber o-rings

also, the fuel shut off solenoid on the IP is known to leak from time to time.

I had gmcheek's problem too. It was easy to spot cuz the black ring that screws the top of the filter down wouldn't seat properly; wanted to cross thread. The old seal is about 1/8" or a little less, and leaves that much of a shim to keep new filter from seating.
