Hi all: looking for the curb wt (2 passengers, full fuel, fifth wheel hitch) for 2018 Chevy or GMC CC 4WD SRW Dmax standard bed. Trying to determine the kingpin wt capacity.

One GM source listed the curb wt at 7548 lbs. Probably no passengers, fuel, or hitch.

I need realistic curb wt to calculate fifth wheel king pin capacity, which then determines next fifth wheel trailer.

Thanks,

Mark

Find a set of scales and drive on...

If you already own the truck, do what John mentioned... But, I'd include the people, hitch, cargo and other stuff you expect to be taking with you on trips. That way you'll get the true weight you need to use to calculate available capacities.

Hi,

My local landscape supply yard weighs small trucks all the time for no fee. I go in and ask, and then just pull on the platform and he calls my weight out on a speaker.

Just a thought.

Check your area for true truck stops. Flying J etc. Typically along the Interstates. Used one this spring to weigh my truck and travel trailer down in Georgia. Don't know how the scales work but it gave me not only the total weight but the individual weight of all 4 axles, without moving the rig. Was suitably impressed. A lot of the truck stops have scales on-site for the big rigs. Cost me 5 bucks.

1. I don’t own the 2018 truck yet, that is why asked people that actually own this truck.

2. I know how to weigh a truck on CAT scale. I have the curb wt on my 02 2500 HD.

3. I got a response from someone on another site who actually read my post before responding.

4. Curb wt. is 8430 lbs: 2 adults, full fuel, fifth wheel hitch.

5. Good day

An important piece of information. Had you included it in your original post, it certainly would have resulted in very different replies.

5. Good day

And to you, sir.

Certainly will be more specific in future posts. Guess I just assumed people would realize I did not have that exact truck, otherwise I would have weighed it myself.

Hard to tell, these days. Many, if not most (modern/younger) folks would ask others before actually doing anything for themselves. It's a lot more common now than days past.

Ouch! I guess I'll have to be more careful about answering posts I haven't read.

How heavy were the adults?

Seriously I would just use 9K to be on the safe side.
