I'm now getting a boost sensor error code,.
only does it after i first start driving,. even easily it trips a code,. it's not tripping it for over boost,. so lack of boost? vacuum pump is working,. all connections appear at first glance to be fine,. could it be a bad map sensor?
some advice on this?
thanks.

i dug around and looked closely and found the vacuum hose had come in contact to the turbo, it had melted and fused together.
A simple fix, i assumed all was good mechanically, and that is where my problem lay.
I need further training, so i'll keep driving this old lump to see what happens next,.

Driving "old lumps" is good...ya just have to keep several in the yard so at least one will GO...:D

This is what I tell my kids.

Son in law was up a while back and on his way home his tranny went PHFFFFFT
He called (10 pm) to tell me he was having his rig dropped here at the ranch by the tow truck...

I told him .."I'm in bed, grab the red Astro to get ya home"

Nice to have extra lumps :)

Glad ya found the issue.

A simple hose is far better than chasing some nasty gremlin....:)
