hi there

i'm replacing my 90 vans injection pump and the top mounting stud is a little rough. Ive done a search and its hard to find one. I'm assuming that its got to be out there somewhere. maybe not.
...just thought someone might be a able to shed some light on this! Thanks!

I've never seen them available as a separate piece. You may try matching one at the hardware/home store. Or clean it up (un-rough it). Otherwise, you'll be on the hook for a timing cover and the labor involved.

Realistically, its function is very simple. If it's able to do that at a minimum, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you. i feel better about cleaning it up and reusing it. it should hold just fine.

i believe i found a part number - if its the same one used in the 6.5, in case anyone ever takes up the search

Thanks for identifying it. There should be no difference between the 6.2 and 6.5 studs (the timing covers are interchangeable, except for the crank sensor). Unfortunately, it isn't available anywhere I could find. Fortunately, it is the same stud used in several places on the same engine, as well as many other GM applications (such as tranny adapter to engine), and that can be found.
