DB2 Hot start problem possible on DS4?

My 99 starts fine cold, but takes several seconds when warm, is this possibly a worn piston inside the DS4 like on the DB2s when their life is almost up?

I think you meen a DS4 pump.

They use the same principle so I guess it is possible.

Yes, DS4 sorry. I know there is feedback from the DS4, would it not detect this problem and set an error code?
