Intercooler question

Intercooler newbee here, need some information. Is an intercooler bidirectional? In other words can either port be used as input or output? Also, does a certain side of the intercooler fins have to face the wind, so to speak? Thanks, Splitrimz

An intercooler can usually flow air in either direction. Some, however are designed to face the front of a vehicle in one specific way to maximise it's efficiency by the position it will be mounted.
