Has anyone upgraded to a Performance Tq converter?
If so how do you like it compared to stock. Lower Stall|?

I talked to a tranny shop and they said the converter thats in it is really strong .And they didn.t think they made after market.let me know if you find one.

TCI Automotive 4L80E 242910 . Article in Drag Racing mag this month about lower stall , stock stalls too high , stronger , etc......

ATS makes one couldn't tell you the stall speed though.

JK's performance chip up's the line psi to add extra holding power. If your converter is good, It works and works good. I have pulled the guts out of this rig and the fluid is blood red. Where you run into trouble is at lower rpm, 2k and under. Its been said that if you dont have the line psi it dont matter whos converter you have you will smoke it. High stall speeds are no good for towing heavy and distance because the heat they generate is too much. On edit). When you cant hold gear 3 in lockup and you come out of lockup pullin hard in 3rd is whear the heat is at.
