As the Burban is now up & limping I'm seriously thinking about selling her to get a small rv or 6.2 burban-

As she needs some new grips-

The question?

The 94 4x4 2500 burban has 4.10 gears

Would she draw the biggest dollar with the stock 265's

Or upgrade to the 285's & crank the front torsion bars 5 turns to clear?

I'm running the stock factory rally wheels.

If you crank the torsion bars up you need to check the alignment too.

I'd do the 285s - the appearance is much better for resale.

I put 285's on my truck and had the torsion bars turned just enough to make the tires clear without rubbing when turning. I also had to get new front shocks because the stroke of the old ones was too short after the mod. After seeing my buddies gas burner with 265's on it, I wished I would have done that instead. It seems that I have lost a little bit of the ride on the front end of the vehicle. I think you only gain an inch or two with the 285's anyway. Good luck, hope she sells.

Currently there are 265 white letters on it that are near the end of their life-

I have a very low mileage set of 265's goodyears in the garage that I could slap on or sell to help buy the 285's.

2 main reasons for considering the upgrade would be to drop the highway rpm's & (RE: 4:10's) the largeness of the burban kinda darfs the tires-

Are you going to recalibrate the speedometer? Do you know if it was already recalibrated for the 265's? I'm not sure about your year, but most years had 245's as OE.

I have 265 on my burban. You have to have ATs If you have street tires they look to small. My ats are worn and look like street tires. The tread is what gives it the manily aperence that i want.
