I have a '96 GMC K1500 with 220,000 km.
So far, I have replaced the following:

Lift Pump @ 180km
Glow Plugs @ 185km
Alternator @ 190km
Vacuum Pump & pulley @ 219km

What are the next things to go? I hate to break down.

Alot of that sounds like normal wear and tear. You can't expect every part to last forever. Are you the original owner? is that the first time you have done these maintenance items?

Be grateful for the diy "bolt on problems". It could be worse. Continued good fortune to you.

Be careful the questions you ask. You just might get an answer.

With those miles, you are way ahead of the game, with any engine.

I am the second owner. Yes, this is the 1st time for
all those items.
Also, injection pump replaced at 76,000 km.

That doesn't sound too bad. There are things you can do the extend the life of all your components. Read through the reviews, back reviews, look at other members signatures and read the past posts in the bulletin board. All the information is there to make the 6.5 and supporting components last longer.

Welcome to the board.
