I have a late 96 Dually that came from factory with
Dual Thermostats.....It has the small oil cooler lines.

Does this block have the " Large " spray holes.

Should I be concerned about the " Cracking "
of the block in the Spray hole area?

Can bolck ID be determined without taking anything apart?

You definatly have the large oil spray holes. The late 96 and so on blocks were by far the strongest, made of a special iron alloy that is 750% stronger than diamonds and a crankshaft with enlarged journals at 5.75", almost unbreakable! Not to mention the new head design(including a new 86 bolt head fastner design) that allows for 150PSI of reliable boost!

Drive it, don't abuse it, have fun, and hide the common (not that common really) problems far back in your mind! It makes me sleep better :D

This will likely have the "141" casting as ID'd by the number on the back flange. Plenty of discussion including pics on these forums. Try the search function.

As for oil spray, I seriously doubt it. 1/2" cooler lines for non vs 5/8" for spray blocks, BUT once engines and parts start getting swapped around it's anybody's guess. Only if you are the original owner can you be certain...

Thanks John... Bought with 43k from a fireman, localy.

Quite sure all is original build. Tryed to call
george , was out. Will get the oil spectro'ed

At least knowing that I do not have oil holes makes
me feel a lot better.
