How many of you have had GM step up to the plate and help out if your truck had a cracked block after the diesel warranty runs out? Reason I ask is my dads truck has higher miles on it and the block is cracked, it still runs but lots of coolant in the oil. Its a '98 1/2 ton. And how can I get the ball rolling? I work at a dealer so I told him to call the 1-800 line and see what they say. We all know those blocks are crap and GM dam well knows it to. I wouldn't expect them to provide(free of charge) a new engine just some help.
