Well, as usual something else to deal with.
I did a search on the "SERVICE 4WD LIGHT" found information in 2500 section, but it all points to 2002 and newer 2500 series trucks. Mine is a 1999.
The autotrac started to act up after a tranny rebuild, new t-case (not rebuilt) was installed at this time too, shut the motor down and it was ok for awhile.
Then, the auto 4wd stopped working properly, "would not come out of auto 4wd", shut down motor and it would shift into anything but auto 4wd.
Now, will not shift into any 4wd function like it is locked out by some computer function.
HELP!
