I am a new member to the DP. I would like to know what problems or fixes that apply to my 1998 6.5 Turbo would you suggest. I have had the original fuel pump replaced at 12,000 miles and the fuel controler replaced at 60,000 miles by the dealer under warranty. I have replaced the glow plugs and changed out the lift pump at 100,000 miles. I have replaced the fuel filter several times. The truck runs good and seems to be doing well. Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Get rid of the factory exhaust and get a good down pipe. Snoop around for awhile in old threads you'll find a host of idea's.

I would get the FSD off the pump,(black square thing on the drivers side of the pump) mount it to a good heat sink and move it out front in to good air.(I tore apart this big yamaha stereo and took the heat sink from it, 3 times the size of FSD)
You will need a extension harness to do this. Make your own or buy one.
Choose a good fuel additive that adds lubricity and maybe helps with cetane. Fuel quality at the pump is terrible.
Believe me as others will tell you, you will be miles ahead.
Best wishes.
