1994 6.5tb diesel Have a problem with code 19.

Been a gas mechanic for 50 some years and am lost on diesel. Need some help on this code 19, where to start! What can I do not having a tech tool to analysis this problem? Have noticed no difference in the running or performance. What problems can I expect in the future? Any help would be welcomed.

1994 6.5 diesel, gear driven camshaft, 97 two thermostat water system, banks exhaust, egt and boost gauges, fsd cooler

Crank position sensor. Directly aft of the crank snout on the drivers side of the block. Its a round sensor with a metal tab, one bolt holds in through the tab, and a cord. Check to make sure the connection is good, but you might have to replace it.

They are absoluty a B!TCH to remove. The tab breaks off at the slightest tug. I had to drill a blind hole in the middle of it and screw in a large deck screw to get something to grab onto with a small pry tool to get it out.

Should cost about $75 bucks for a new one.
