Phaser Gears

Well, I received my timing gears from JK Friday night, and am driving the truck today (Sunday)! Thanks for the fast service, John. I'm very pleased with the results and am curious to see my fuel mileage. After hours of using inappropriate language, the timing is set at a perfect -1.94. I am a little confused when the directions say to "time set" 3.5 - 5.0 degrees. Anybody know what that is?

You are done right there! Only set TDC learn, and the rest will follow.

Basically, it's like playing roullette. Once the pump is close, just initiate learn and wait for it to fall on your number.

I too have spent HOURS trying to get it, and now can do in minutes...

Excellent! I am very pleased with my new modication. My mileage went from a poor 13 miles per gallon to 16 even on my trip back home. And, that includes running the A/C. This thing will pay for itself in no time!
