Hello All,
I have been looking at a pstroke intercooler on ebay. Can I use regular exhaust pipe (custom bent) and wrap it with exhaust wrap after I have it connected? Or do those fancy chrome lines make it go faster (hehehe)?
thanks for the help,
Don

For intercooler piping, stainless is ideal for corrosion resistance. However, aluminized steel is okay, and it usually fits the budget much better, too.
Don't bother wrapping the intake ducting with insulation. The idea is to get rid of as much heat as possible before feeding the air into the engine. Wrapping the pipes with keep heat in, and that's counter productive.

Thanks David,
I thought the opposite. After the intercooler wrapping the pipe to keep the cool air inside.
Thanks again for straighten me out,
Don

You are both right;
keep the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler unwrapped to let it loos some heat on the way to the IC.
The pipe from the IC to the inetrcooler could be wrapped to keep the air cool if the pipe passes some hot engine parts.
