removing EPR

My EGR and EPR are no longer hooked up (since truck is used off-road exclusively ;) )

Is it worthwile removing the EPR valve, or is the restriction with the butterfly open minimal ? I've never seen the insides of one

I've just got mine wired in the open position. I don't think that the little amount of friction it provides will be the limiting factor of air in our trucks, but on the other hand, every little bit helps :)
