Hi Mike,
welcome to the DP Forum.
first you may do a search on this forum for converting to manual glow system.
If there are still any questions, feel free to ask here again.
Concerning the 13G: It is the military equivalent to the civilian 11G plugs. Mine didn't make any problems with my push button glow system. They are by far the most durable ones of all the glow plugs the army went with during the years. Stay away from the Wellman plugs (part# 6A843G070) for the CUCV.
However I switched to AC 60G years ago. That type

walter, I did a search and did not find what i need. I think i just want to do my own system for the glowplugs. The more i look, the more i find that my wiring was pieced back together. I just have no idea how to do it. As far as other problems with my CUCV. Leaking steeing pump, I think the rear main seal is gone, injection pump was redone by a clown, leaks its always wet, and to top it off a bad head gasket. I am thinking about seeing if i could pay someone on here to help me do the work, I just dont know the truck that well. :( It has 23k on it. I really like it, but it is really starting to get me ticked off.
thanks for the reply sorry for making it so long. So do you have a way i could wire up the GP?
mike
Maybe these two former threads are helpful:
manual glow plug switch (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=002274)
CUCV glow plug system (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=002093)
If you still need some information, I will try to do a little writing about my glow system.
Walter
