Okay, I'm reading these threads, and seeing several acronyms, etc. that I don't understand.
FSD?
PMD?
lift pump and injector pump- different? If they are different, what's a lift pump do?

My truck just had a problem prior to me picking it up. Some relay on the top of the engine was failing- I believe it controls the injector pump? It was relocated to the firewall (and replaced with a new one) and seems to be fine now. Was this the PMD (is that Pump Mounted Driver)??

Thanks- just trying to learn the lingo, and when I searched for these, I found them mentioned ALL OVER the place, but no definitions.

Okay, I just looked at HowieE's webpage and FSD pics- that's the unit I was talking about, but I still haven't heard what FSD stands for...

Fuel Solenoid Driver becomes the Pump Mounted Driver when you install it on the pump.

Lift pump is the fuel pump from the tank - mounted on the frame rail under the driver's seat. Supplys fuel to the injection pump.
