Has anyone here used the thicker head gasket on a build up of a new engine? I was thinking about trying them out on mine. Is there anything to check out on the bearing clearances other than to stay in spec?

anyone have any input on the rebuild subject ins outs of the bottom end of these engines?

Do a 'search' in 6.5, 6.2, Members, and Dr. Lee forums, Odee - most folks here are owner-drivers, not engine mechanics.

I, personally, would not recommend using the thicker head gaskets. Some have done so, but it seems that there is an increased risk of head gasket failure, IMHO.
