Fueling

I'm sure it has been asked 100 times before but I can't seem to find the answer using the search facility. My annual government test is coming up soon and I just want to know how the ip fuelling can be turned down if I need to, to get it to pass the emissions test if required.Normal driving it is not smokey but on anything but the lightest acceleration I have a fair bit of smoke. BTW it is an Avant customised 6.2 NA.

I take it that I need a new gasket when replacing the cover. Is this the same on 6 cyl Stanadyne pumps (ie John Deere tractors)If it is the same I can get them handy enough here, otherwise I'll have to get shipped in from the US

The Deere seal ring will fit.
