Can you measure the length of your 5.9 for me? I need the overall length from the back of the transmission adapter to the front of the water pump.

Yes, Grasshopper, the narrow inline six engine will intrude not into the space of the A/C. But you may find that the valve cover on number 6 cylinder becomes a place most convenient for mounting your cup holder. Coffee warm will be, when engine running it is.

Approx. 36" +/- 1/4" from rear of adapter housing to nose of water pump pulley.

Think it would look funny with a radiator in front of the grill? I ask because the wife has made some comments about confiscating the SJ for her own use. If that happens, then I just may have to build another with a Cummins (selling her Explorer should fund that project!). Alternately, I could just find a nice mid-90's cc dually with a worn out gasser and give it the old diesel swap.
