Has anyone ever put a corvette 6 speed in a diesel? or will a camaro/firebird 6 speed work better?
Thanks for all the help,
Don

Best bet... 1993 to 1997 LT1 F-body T56
Same length as T5 and 700R4, so you can use the same 27 spline driveshaft, Electric 40 pulse per driveshaft rotation VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor)
LT1 pull-style clutch, bellhousing, and slave cylinder is necessary. With .50 double overdrive, 4.10's are a must.

If you're swapping out a th400, you'll need a drive shaft shop take a minimum 2 3/8" off the front section of your 2wd drive shaft, and put on a a 1350 HD 27spline slip yoke. (I had to do that to swap to 700r4) It's almost too long, I should have had them take off 2.5"
good luck
