In the latest issue of Four Wheeler, they did a story on high MPG 4x4 trucks and SUVs, past and present. Many of the winners were diesel-powered, of course. For the full-size 4x4 truck diesel catagory, the '92 Chevy/GMC K1500 6.2L won. It had EPA ratings of 18/22 with a 5 spd.
