Hi Guys - Oey I hate having someone else work on my vehicles! While I had my Suburban in the shop to set the timing and have it looked over, after installing a rebuilt longblock that turned into it's own nightmare (I'll tell you about that later) my starter died - the mechanic was qoing to pull the starter so that I could take it to NAPA where I've got a lifetime warranty. He didn't get around to pulling it in time so I gave him the receipt and he exchanged it - now that I have the nightmare longblock back from being repaired I'm realizing that he got me a 6.5 Starter and my front bracket is too long sooo now I need a 6.5 front support barcket!
Anybody have a part number for one of those? So that I can get it from gmpartsdirect OR does someone have a spare they're willing to sell me?
Any opinions on using a 6.5 starter on a 6.2 motor?
THANKS!!!

He may have gotten the PN from my post from February, of course,I'm sure someone posted it long before that!

I wish they'd set up a system so we could add to the important part numbers already posted on this site, as the last time I looked, it wasn't on there, yet!

Of course, there's nothing like having a knowledgeable and friendly partsman you know to call upon. I'm lucky, in that I have two, at separate dealerships. What one guy doesn't have in his head, the other almost always seems to know!
