new style rockers and use the head gasket for whichever head you choose.

I have the same question than Imocibob.

6.2 Heads 14028901 or 6.5 Heads 10137567

Which rockers are the best? Cast or the stamped (pressed) and which are the old and new stile?

What is the difference between the 6.2 and 6.5 head gaskets?

For 6.2 heads, your best off using just the 6.2 gaskets. This is beacause some of the early versions of the 6.2 heads (pre 85) had an additional cooling port on them that is sealed with the 6.2 gaskets.

For 6.5 heads you should use the 6.5 gaskets, they are a more round cylinder cut-out on the gasket. You can use the 6.5 gaskets on 6.2 heads, but the heads have to be the late versions. This is all covered here on the page:

The new style rockers are the pressed steel ones that have the plastic retainer clips to center the rockers on the shaft. These were used on 85 up engines, and were the same on the 6.5.
