View Full Version : Vacuum regulator
I recently bought a CUCV. Someone had removed the VRV and had run vacuum directly from the vacuum pump to the modulator. I bought a new VRV from the dealer, but when I started to put it on, I noticed there was nothing on the throttle shaft to operate it. Does anyone have a clear picture of the passenger side of the IP with the VRV removed so I can see what is supposed to be there?

I have several pics to sent.
give me a adress and I'll sent them to you.

PS
I think you are only missing the pin in the shaft that takes the VRV with it.
You were right all I was missing was a pin. I made one that fit somewhat snug and cut it to length. It can't come out once the VRV is in place. I installed it this weekend. I set the VRV approximately in the middle of its adjustment, and the modulator is new. It shifts a little late and a little firm. Should I adjust the modulator or the VRV? Will they have the same effect?

Changing the VRV is for the rough adjustments, then fine tune with the modulator.
In the end the effect is the same but its hard to do a fine adjustment on the VRV.

Thanks. I'll let you know how it works out.
