How much current do the glowplugs draw in total (60Gs with 10-12.5V)?

They start up at 12 to 13 amps and go down to 9 to 10 amps when keeping temperarure
I know this for sure for 13G's, I figgure it's not much different for the 60's

Is it 13A total or per plug?

13 for about 3 seconds and then going down.
This is for one plug !
At total you are pulling 100 amps through the ralay
I take 40 more for the intake heaters :D
Do you want me to check for 60 G ?

The intake heaters on the CTD take 95A each for a total of 190A, so I'll be using 2 relays to control them.

Thanks Peter! Do you know what our glowplug relay is rated at?

I guess 100 amps, but I have to check.
I draw more than that and doing fine, so two off them should do for 180Amps.
Peter
I measured my 60Gs as drawing 153 amps for all 8, then the current decreased as they heated up. I used a fluke 36 with an accuracy of 3%.
As a side note, my warmed-up 6.2 took 650 amps to crank over.

Hmmm, I might be able to get away with using the existing GP relay... Thanks jcomp!
