Hi all, I've got a couple of leaky valve covers and am looking at re-sealing them next weekend. Does anyone have the torque values for the valve cover bolts? Also, any good ideas on how to manage moving the injector lines, short of just holding them up and out of the way?

Also replacing a leaking power steering pump. Has anyone used the pump rebuild kits that are widely available, and if so, are they worth the effort? As the pumps are pretty cheap (Napa has one for about $75 with a $35 core, for hydro boost applications), it seems best to just replace the whole pump rather than rebuild it.

Found the leaks after replacing my harmonic balancer last week, and considering the motor is a bit over a year old, want to keep it clean.

Thanks for the help!
Jon

According to 83 GM factory service manual the valve cover bolts shoould be torqued to 13-20 ft-lbs. (18-27 N-m for our friends overseas)
