There's some good experience right here on the forum. One tidbit, don't use a brand new or fresh rebuilt IP pump on bio-diesel until it's run in a bit, the higher viscosity b. diesel has been known to cause them to sieze.

Fuel heating and filtration are vital factors, but I'll let the experienced experts take it from here.

FYI: DIESEL dragster runs 9.30 on Biodiesel at a mile high! (http://www.cumminsracing.com/mainpage.htm#Our%20Diesel%20Dragster%20Story)

A number of folks have run biodiesel in their 6.2s and also I know a few folks who have done conversions to Straight Vegetable Oil (that's actually what Brittannic's comments above refer to).

I will provide more details when I have a bit more time - I gotta run right now - but you can get a lot by cruising the very active discussion forums at Maui Green Energy by going to:

Biodiesel Discussion Foums (http://biodiesel.infopop.cc)

There are forums on Biodiesel and SVO and a whole lot of info in that region of cyberspace.

Short answer: yes a 6.2 will be happy on Biodiesel or SVO either one, with some qualifications (ya know, the fine print). More later from me, and no doubt, others.

Good Luck :D

I'd pay to see that diesel dragster run and I'd definitely use biodiesel if available. Biodiesel is the people's fuel for the future, as longs as the people keep the manipulators out of it.
