Hi all
I have in my possesion a new to me MT 480. With it i recived a MT 88A probe? But unfortantly their were no instructions for use. This is the first time i have seen one of these meters, let alone use one.
My question is does anyone have a spare instruction or owners manual?
Is the MT 88a probe the right one for my 6.2?
Any other info or tips on use would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks

The MT88a is the magnetic pickup that reads the indentation off the harmonic balancer. It should be the right one for your 480. The luminosity probe that goes in the #3 glow plug hole is the MT161, and that's still a good Snap-On part number. Although it's $200 new, it's still available.

Here's my meter pictures:

Diesel Boy,Thanks for the info and pic's.

I guess i'll have to add a MT 161 to my list of needed items.
Anyone have a spare one for sale?

Thanks

The MT160 works just fine in the 6.2L as well...

Which reminds me:
Before I knew which probe to use, I priced both the MT160 and MT161. The MT160 turned out to be about $15 cheaper compared to the MT161. Both are still good part numbers with Snap-On.
