I really loved the "simplycity" of my 82 6.2 this 94 turbo 6.5 is a whole new ball game. I've heard it asked before on this forum "what are electronics doing on a diesel? "

Hey,I have a similar`91 Suburban:2500,6.2,4L80E,NP241,&4.11.It`s simple except for the trans.I love my`95 K2500 PU since going non-electronic(5pd manual/MFI non-wastegated).

I parked my 91 & put it on consignment. So I didn't drive it to much. I've made some bad decisions in purchasing latley. I bought this 94 4x4 burb for my wife only to find our it has a intermitant FSD failure problem. (I think)So I'm working it out.

What kinda milage are you getting on your 91?

The old line state is where?

A Google search on "Old Line State" (include the quotation marks) will tell you how George Washington gave this one of the original 13 states its nickname.

I've always been one for utter simplicity, too. If I could find a cable-operated fuel shutoff and ditch the electric one, I would! After that would come an air starter and a magneto so I could get rid of the battery and alternator smile.gif

Because of this syndrom I'm not likely to get rid of the old Blazer. (I don't "think" I could get out of it what it's worth to me . (looks rough can't put a price on dependability) I like your idea's, fuel shut off was my first problem w the balzer.

Boy & the starter what a deal that was it seems like about once every 2 mos she'll stii grind at start up to let me know she pobably wants a new flywheel.

The Old Line State is "The Free State".That name stems from Prohibition days, and I thought it was a Civil War thing.Maryland has alot of nicknames for a small state. When out west people ask,"where is Maryland? Is that a state?"The answer to your other question about fuel mileage. It gets 19+/-,as low as 18(hard running in mtns)to 22 on flat hi-way.
