Help - my oil pressure gauge reads zero!

I have an 86 van with a 6.2L in it and yesterday when I started it the oil pressure gauge stayed at zero. I imediatly shut6 it down and checked the oil - seemed fine. Engine sounded fine for the 30 seconds it was running.

So probably this is a gauge issue right? So how do I troubleshoot it? Where is the sender located? How do I test it? Resistance, voltage, or?

sender is on back of block by the vac pump and electric get a manual gauge and check it if ok probably the sender i know when mine went it was real erratic.

Thanks - removed and cleaned it, and reinstalled.

Working fine again.
