Ok, I just spent the past six months rebuilding my truck...marine IP, HI POP injectors, 18:1 pistons, ect. 500 mile on the engine and it starts to knockin, bummer. Im thinking the worst, turns out its a busted spring in # 7 injector. Im planning on leaving for the pull off tommorow, and was wondering if installing a stock injector and driveing 150 miles to Pennisular to pick up a new HI POP is gonna do any damage. I drove at least half that with the busted one and there seems to be no damage. Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks John, thats what I was figuring, but I just needed some reasurance. Im a little paranoid taking a basicly untesed vehicle cross country, given my history.

If you happen to have an old short body injector laying around, you could try robbing the spring and putting it in the bad one. Technically you should replace the heat shield , and reshim the psi, but as long as you are short tripping it...
