Hallo wich stallspeed is to be preferd on a TH700R4 behind a 6.5 TD? Can 3 bolts converters use on 6 bolts flexplates?
Does all TH700R4 Gas/Diesel fits to the NP208 without changing any shafts?
I have found a TH700R4 from a GMC Cyclone thats why I ask so much.

cyclone is on the s-10 chassis and it might bolt up to the transfer case but it's not gonna fit behind the 6.5

They told me that it will bolt right up to chevys 350 cubicinch? I have today a TH350 to 6.2 and havnt the TH350 the same boltpattern as chevy 350 or 6.2?

Bolt pattern and case length is identical to Diesel version.
Internals may not be same - clutch packs, etc.
Shift points may be different, but can be reset with governor weights.
Diesel 700R4 got maximum clutch plates, highest pressure regulator spring, lowest stall heaviest duty convertor.

The torque convertor stall speed will be higher for the 4.3.
Diesel service gets furnacce-brazed turbine\stator blades, six bolts for flex-plate mounting.

The Syclone\Typhoon were 4L60E era '91 - up, and may be computer controlled.

A lot of street rod guys use those s10 700r4s because the ones from behind a 2.8L were 60 degree blocks, and that will let you turn a Cadillac Northstar V8 longways. smile.gif If it has the 4.3 in front of it, then there are no worries, and the housing will swap. Like JD said, you may want to take a look at the internals to make sure they're up to 6.5TD power.

As for stall speed, I spend a good deal of time off-road, so I prefer a lower stall. While mine is at 1200, if you spend most of your time on the road, then a stall of at least 1400 would be better. Brtannic has a stalll of around 1600 I believe, and works well for him.

So long as your 700r4 has a 4wd output shaft, then any np208/241 will adapt.
